Client Certificates

Create two sets of certificates for each of the SOHO VPN Routers. Example: soho-user-a, soho-user-b, soho-user-c.

Step 1

Open a new web browser and enter the address of the Location-A ICA Management tool. Example: https://location-a.SmartCernterServer.com:18265/ Your web browser will ask you select a certificate to send to the web server. Select the certificate created in Step 5 and click OK. The ICA Management Tool will load.

Step 2

Select Create Certificates on the left. Select Generate. Click Form.

Step 3

Perform the following steps. a. Enter the fully qualified dynamic DNS in the Name and Domain field. b. Enter the company name in the Company Field. c. Complete the City, State, and Country fields. The City, State, and Country should reflect the city, state, and country where location-a or location-b is located. d. Make sure all of the “Add Alt Name” boxes are checked. e. Click Done

Step 4

Enter a password for the certificate. Click GO to generate the certificate.

Step 5

Browse to the location-a subdirectory. Name the certificate the same as the domain name in Step 3. Please follow the naming conventions the first time through the documentation. Naming conventions are used by the shell scripts and during search and replace operations to create the SOHO VPN router config files.

Step 6

Repeat steps 1 to 5 for each of the SOHO VPN Routers.

Step 7

Open a new web browser and enter the address of the Location-B ICA Management tool. Example: https://location-b.SmartCernterServer.com:18265/ Repeat steps 1 to 6 to create the certificates for Location-B.
